University Cooperatives in Korea

Cooperation, built into campus life.

University cooperatives in Korea are owned and governed by the people who use them — students, faculty and staff. They run everyday campus services and put cooperation into practice.

01 · University Co-ops

What university co-ops run

Co-ops operate the everyday services a campus depends on. What each one runs differs by campus — the constant is that the people who use the services also own and govern them.

Dining halls

Student and faculty canteens serving affordable daily meals, with co-ops accountable to members for price, quality and food safety.

Cafés

Campus cafés and rest areas — places between classes to sit, meet and talk, run under the shared COOP CAFE brand or a co-op's own.

Convenience stores

Everyday goods and groceries on campus. Many co-ops use the shared COOPSKET brand and joint purchasing to keep prices down.

Books, print & more

Bookstores, stationery, copy and print services, vending and campus-specific welfare services — each co-op runs what its own campus needs.

We do together what is hard to do alone.

KFUC supports member co-ops and creates shared opportunities across the network.
